Theme of The Game
A robbery is in progress, and this time it appears that the target is on some rich guy’s mansion. It’s full of historical pieces, presumably of great value, and we see them in the premium symbols. It’s not one of those modern designs that will impress the player, it looks average at best, but it’s not something that will take away from the slot’s action.
Bust the Mansion proposes a couple of themed symbols, but we only see them in premium positions or feature triggers. There is a Money Vault symbol, with a Wild version, and also Key scatters and Wilds that you can run across. The top symbols include images of Horus, Faberge Eggs, Porcelain Vase, and Ancient Stone Tablets. The five lower value symbols will have images of Royals, and they don’t do much to turn this into an appealing game.
Developer
Though the name most often mentioned might be Microgaming, this is actually the result of a partnership that they have with a smaller developer, called Pulse 8 Studios. Microgaming is a giant of the industry, around since the second half of the 90s. Pulse 8 Studios was established in 2019, and it only has about 10 games released so far.
How To Play It
You will be able to start the game with a wager of only $0.25, which is considered enough to activate all 25 lines. If you like what you’re seeing, and you can afford to, the wager can be increased all the way up to $25.
The setup is not unusual for a slot machine, and it uses 5×3 reels along with 25 active lines. The lines are fixed, and they allow for combinations to form when you have 3, 4, or 5 matching symbols on them, landing in consecutive order from the first reel towards the last one.
Special Features
Among plenty of other features that you will discover inside, Bust the Mansion also includes a Wild. You can either form some impressive winning combinations with wilds alone, paying up to 400x the stake each time (vs 20x for a regular combo), or you can use them as substitutes. The latter will bring you wins as well, just smaller ones and more often.
Gaining access to the free spins is only possible when you have a certain number of Key scatters on the reels. Between 3 and 5 of these symbols are enough, to get you 10 to 25 free games. The 3rd reel is now covered with mixed Wild Money Vault symbols, which are both substitutes and scatters that can lead to the Link & Win feature. As there are no scatters on reel 3, the free spins retrigger only via 3-4 scatters, for an extra 10-15 rounds each time.
For many, the Link & Win respins will be the major feature of the game. Should 6+ Money Vault symbols appear at the same time, you will receive 3 Link & Win respins. You use the triggering Money Vaults which become sticky, and you try to get more during the respins that follow.
When new Money Vaults appear, the respins reset back to 3. You can get a regular cash prize from each Money Vault, a fixed jackpot of lower value, or you could claim a Grand Jackpot if you can fill all 15 positions with these symbols.
