Dead Man’s Fingers

Theme of The Game
You shouldn’t have any issues locating a good-looking slot machine in the pirate niche, but that doesn’t mean that Dead Man’s Fingers isn’t worth checking out. I like what Gluck Games did with its graphics, and at this point I can’t even see a difference between their work and that of Yggdrasil, their partners. If you want a modern-looking pirate-themed slot machine, Dead Man’s Fingers definitely qualifies.
While the surrounding graphics are superb, I’m not as excited about the choice of symbols. Some of them are going to feature five skull coins, each one made out of a different metal. The top-paying ones are worse, given the theme, with four gemstones used there (light blue, green, purple, orange). There is only one major symbol, the one showing us the Pirate Captain, which can appear both regular and reel-sized.
Developer
In this particular case, it’s not Yggdrasil Gaming that offers the slot, even though their name may be attached to this release. Gluck Games is their partner, and the creator of Dead Man’s Fingers. If you’re curious about other slots that came out of this partnership, I strongly recommend you check out Serendipity and Cthulhu, two recent releases.
How To Play The Dead Man’s Fingers Slot Demo
Setting up the bet is fairly straightforward. It starts from a minimum amount of $0.25, and it can go up to $100. The total amount is the only one you need to worry about.
Even though you’re looking at 5×4 reels, they added only 25 paylines, so they feel a bit too spread out. Landing 3 to 5 symbols of the same type, in predetermined positions across one of the 25 lines, will get you a winning combination.
Special Features
Several special symbols will show up in Dead Man’s Fingers, and one of the main ones takes the form of the Octopus Wild. With the exception of feature symbols, all others may be replaced with these Octopus Wilds, and combinations can still form. Unfortunately, Octopus Wilds may only land on the reels 2, 3, and 4.
You may also get access to 10 free spins, but with help from a different feature symbol, the scatter showing the Compass and the Bonus logo.
Money Collect is a feature that requires two different types of symbols at the same time. On one hand, there are the Treasure Chests, the so-called Quickhit Money symbols, which will land on reels 1-4. You can get either regular (1x to 20x the stake) or fixed jackpot prizes from them (up to the Grand Jackpot worth 1,000x the stake). To actually get those prizes, you need a Collect icon, the one with the claw. It only lands on reel 5.
Maximum Payouts
Dead Man’s Fingers comes with some pros and cons, where its payouts are concerned. On one hand, I’m satisfied with the slot’s potential, since a jackpot of up to 2,740x the stake is possible in what is otherwise a medium-high volatility release. Not great, but not terrible either.
The major downside comes from its Return to Player, which is expected to be 95.15%, fairly low for any slot machine.
Summary
Dead Man’s Fingers doesn’t give you the same great odds as some of its competitors, but it sort of makes up for that with its features. Overall though, you can get better rewards and odds from plenty of other slots.
