An old-fashioned gold mining slot machine, Gold N Rocks delivers many of the elements that you’d expect from its graphics, but makes sure to reserve you some surprises when it comes to other features. Until then though, let’s see what we will find once the game loads. It’s a setup with 5×5 reels, where we discover mining themed icons. We’re deep inside the mine on the reels, but the outside area shows us a nearby mining town and the entrance to the underground. A feature meter is shown on the left side, designed as an ore elevator.
Among its symbols, you discover the Gold n Rocks logo, dynamite, the mine entrance, oil lamps, a pickaxe with a shovel, gold carts, and bags with nuggets.

It’s Golden Rock Studios that designed it, and they liked it well enough that they used their own name to inspire its theme. They made it exclusively for Microgaming though, and you will find it in their collection, at one of the hundreds of casinos that carry their content. How To Play The Gold N Rocks Slot Demo
To start things off, you have to pick the wager for the upcoming spin. The minimum amount allowed is $0.50, while the maximum is $50.
You will be able to form your winning combinations when you have matching symbols that are adjacent. This is possible either on rows or on columns, with 2-3 or more symbols of the same type. As many as 10 symbols can be in a combo, once the game area expands enough. You start with 5×5 reels and you can end up with 5×10.
Special Features
In addition to the adjacent pays system that I’ve described above, Gold N Rocks also adds a Tumbling Reels system. It takes away winning symbols, and then adds others in their place, while also expanding the game area by one row. Each new Tumble trigger adds to the rows, until you get to 5×10 reels.
If you get very small wins, with only 3 symbols involved in them, then a wild will be added in the place of the second symbol. It stays there until it can participate in a combo of 4+ symbols, after which it can be removed by the Tumble as well.
As you get through consecutive Tumbles, within the same spin, you also advance on the meter from the left side. You get points for your combinations, between 1 and 40, and once you have enough, there will be different modifiers triggered at each stage.
You start off with a 2x multiplier, then you get 2 random wilds, a 3x multiplier, 3 random wilds, a 5x multiplier, and finally a 2×2 Mega Wild. These trigger along the way, as you go through Tumbling Reels, but the meter resets between spins.
The other feature is the one giving you 8 free spins, for which you need 3+ Dynamite symbols scattered first. Multipliers from the meter go up, to 3x, 5x and 10x, if triggered for this particular feature.
Randomly, the game can give the you a feature with 100 Rollercoaster Spins.
Maximum Payouts
Wins of up to 1,000x the stake are on the table, and you need a combo of 10 wilds on a vertical line to get there. Add the multipliers from the Mega Wild meter, especially during free spins (up to 10x), and you will understand why it’s capable of paying up to 6,094x the stake.
