Immortal Romance Mega Moolah
Theme of The Game
As Microgaming decided to give us a Mega Moolah version for Immortal Rommance, one of their most popular slots of all times, they changed some things for the sequel, but the design wasn’t one of them. Don’t get me wrong, the graphics of the original game, 10 years old by now, are still in good shape. However, those expecting a true sequel, might be disappointed.
It’s the same design as in the original game, so nothing much to report here. You’re getting the Gothic style graphics, which are visible even in its low-paying Royals, along with the game logo as the wild, and the Door Knocker as the scatter. Regulars range from the images of the four young-looking vampires, to castles and old books.
Microgaming, a giant in the casino niche, is a developer that has brought us hundreds of slot machines over the many years since they’ve been in business (established in 1996). Immortal Romance has been one of their most popular titles, along with other big names, like Thunderstruck or Break Away.
How To Play It
A separate screen is available, where you can select the total amount that goes into each spin. $0.30 is going to be the minimum value, while $18 is the maximum one.
This is a game with a ways to win system, 243 potential combinations forming on its 5×3 reels. Every single possibility is taken into consideration, so you just need 3+ matching symbols to land, from the 1st reel towards the right. You will get paid when that happens, and that’s not a guarantee in slots with regular lines.
One of two feature symbols that are used, the game logo will serve as a multiplier wild. This means that you can have it next to regular symbols, and they will form winning combinations together. The 2x multiplier will double the value of those wins, so it’s better to have a wild in a combo, rather than only matching symbols. By itself, the wild can also get you paid, forming combinations that pay up to 50x the stake.
Wilds may also come through a random feature, called Wild Desire. It will transform up to 5 reels into full wilds, so it could bring you the 12,000x top jackpot by itself.
A Door Knocker, taking the form of a lion, will be the one granting you access to the Chamber of Spins. You need 3+ scatters to get inside. There are four types of free spins here, but you don’t get access to all of them immediately. You get only one at first, but then as you unlock the free spins, 5, 10, and then 15 times, the other three versions are also available.
- Amber: 10 free spins with 5x multiplier;
- Troy: 15 free spins that use Vampire Bats, that can turn into wild multipliers (up to 6x when two are combined).
- Michael: 20 free spins, using Rolling Reels and an increasing multiplier of up to 5x.
- Sarah: 25 free spins, where the Wild Vine lands on the 3rd reel, allowing it to transform others into wilds as well.
The Mega Moolah progressive jackpot is the big addition to this game. It’s been responsible for hundreds of players becoming millionaires, even going into the 8-figures range on multiple occasions. The Mega is the top one, but there are some smaller alternatives as well, called Major, Minor, and Mini. This is a random feature.
The regular side of the game will pay up to 12,000x the stake. It’s now a high volatility game, while the original was a medium, and thus more accessible. RTP has also been dropped, to just 93.40%.
Immortal Romance Mega Moolah is definitely worth considering, by anyone interested in playing a slot for the biggest prizes possible. It’s not without risk though, and the RTP is smaller than in a regular slot, so those factors should also be considered.
