Theme of The Game

With a fruit-eating carrot as its main character, this new slot machine from Hacksaw Gaming aims to be special, and it succeeds. The clumsy-looking graphics are charming, and as deformed as many of those fruit characters look like, they’re a lot better than the typical fruit themed slot machines we see these days. The action of the game takes us next to a couple of trees, in a sun-filled meadow.

As for what the symbols of the game look like, it all starts with the W wild and the FS logo, along with the Carrot. It then continues to lower value symbols with the watermelon, green apple, lemon, blueberry, strawberry, grape, pear, and raspberry.

This will be a Cluster Pays game, which has 7×7 symbols on its reels. Winning requires a cluster of 5 to 14+ matching symbols.

Special Features

While regular carrot symbols are used on the reels, what you’re really aiming for is getting King Carrot to show up. This symbol picks one of the lower value symbols, and then replaces all its instances with carrots. This can happen for several types of symbols at the same time.

Following the appearance of 1+ King Carrots, you also get respins as a followup. All symbols drop, and new ones come in, for a chance at more wins.

Sometimes, Epic King Carrots may show up as you’re getting carrots by replacing regular symbols. If it does, then a multiplier will be added to one of the carrots currently present, and it can be used for only one cluster of symbols. Up to 100x multipliers can be applied to wins this way. I suspect this feature has a lot to do with the 10,000x the stake jackpot which is possible.

Bird Attacks may occur, and the result is a removal of a reel or row of symbols (scatters and wilds stay though). There will be new symbols dropping in to replace the ones which were removed, and this could lead to more clusters.

Carrot Carnage is the main feature though, which gives you 10 free spins if you can get 3+ FS scatters in view. As symbols get replaced via King Carrot, you keep them that way, and so you land a lot more carrots on the reels.

Maximum Payouts

King Carrot will pay very well, if given a chance and if luck is on your side. 10,000x the stake is higher than expected, given that the slot’s volatility is only a Medium.

The one thing to watch out for, is the RTP, since there is a range with higher and lower values. The highest one is 96.30%, and that’s a good number to have in a slot.
