Theme of The Game
The Asian category gets another slot machine, this time from ELK Studios. It’s not coming with the typical red & gold design that we’re used to seeing though. It looks like it’s set inside some cave, back against a stone wall, and the reels are encased in its entrance.
The symbols don’t look like most that we’ve seen so far, being square-shaped for the most part, and with images of things carved out of ivory, jade, or something similar. Those symbols include images of an emperor, of Yin Yang logos, along with writing, other signs, and carvings of various wild creatures (bird, turtle, lion, dragon).

I expect mostly good things from a slot machine that comes from ELK Studios, though lately they’ve been using a lower RTP of 95%, while older games had it at 96%. I’d recommend their older work, mostly because of that, since otherwise the majority of their slots tend to be fun to play.
How To Play Mystic Orbs Slot Demo
Since ELK slot machines always have a betting strategy system baked in, the range available to you is the same one each time. You have 100 coins in your bets, and their total value is between $0.20 and $100.
There are 5×5 reels being used, with Cluster Pays to form combinations through. An additional row of feature symbols will be shown at the top. Winning clusters of 5 to 18+ symbols are required, to get you paid. The number of symbols, and their type, decides how much you win.
Special Features
The Avalanche mechanic has been integrated in Mystic Orbs, and so we’re seeing winning clusters going away once they get you paid. The new symbols which drop in the available spots, can form their own clusters, and lead to additional Avalanches.
A Dragon Wild is available, to be used as a substitute when it lands next to groups of matching symbols. It allows for new clusters to form, or it improves existing ones.
The Wild Orbs are interesting feature triggers, and they show up in either regular or charged form. The regular Orb will just activate a feature from the top row, which is present on the same column. The Charged Orb activates all features from that row.
The Feature Row can bring you features such as:
- Access to the bonus game;
- Extra Life, which gives you a symbol drop once you stop forming winning clusters;
- Orb Payout of up to 100x the stake;
- Multiplier of up to 5x added to the total amount;
- Upgrade, which turns a regular symbol into a higher value one, or into a wild, for up to 3 Avalanches;
- Orb Siege, where an adjacent symbol expands to up to 4 positions, surrounding the Orb.
To trigger the bonus game, you need to collect 5 Orbs. It gives you free spins, where you have a persistent multiplier to use.
Maximum Payouts
Mystic Orbs is a slot machine that can pay well, with a top jackpot of 10,000x the stake being the most that you can claim from it. The 95% RTP is a disadvantage, same as the medium to high volatility that will keep a lot of beginners away.
Summary
Mystic Orbs can be fun to play, has a unique design for the category that it is in, and its features should be interesting for a lot of players. Unfortunately, it also has a lower RTP than many would prefer, and I don’t see it being a must-play option for anyone.
