I’ve seen this game pay big and people even hit the maximum payout. So you can understand how frustrating it is for me not to be able to hit the max win. But not all is so bad. My top payout on Pug Life is close to 4,000x. This win landed in the super bonus on a $2 bet, and I spent close to $1k chasing it. I was quite stubborn that night, but the game was in a good mood. I landed a few smaller features and after a dry streak, the mega win came in the bonus. So now all I need is for a max win to land and I can say I’m fully happy with Pug Life.

 

Bonus Features and Payouts

Every little Pug enjoys treats and there are many of them on the reels of Pug Life. They can come in the form of Biscuits, Bones, and Steaks. The treats act as Wilds and also have multipliers attached. The Biscuit can come with multipliers of x2, x3, and x4, while the Bones can come with multis of x5, x10, x15, and x20. You already guessed it, the Steaks have the highest win multipliers in the game. They can be x25, x50, x75, x100, x150 and a whopping x200. The best part is that if there is more than one treat contributing to a win the multipliers are first added together and then applied to the overall payout.

If you land 3 or more any kind of treats on the screen you trigger the Treat Yo’Self feature. All of the treats that landed on the reels will become sticky and stay in position for the rest of the feature. Initially, you get 5 free spins. Each additional treat that lands on the reels will also become sticky and award an extra free spin. So, with some luck on your side, you can get a big number of Wilds on the screen, even a wildline for the ultimate payouts.

The scatter symbol in Pug Life is the Dog House. Land 3 or more of them on the screen for the free spins bonus, where each scatter reveals 3 or 4 free spins. It’s a Sticky Wild that can bring cash prizes or win multipliers on each spin.

Once the free spins run out they are added and multiplied for the end payout. The trick in this feature is to get one or more toasters early on, preferably on a winning payline. This way you get the cash prizes, multipliers, and the regular symbol payouts from the entire feature.

Comparison with Other slots

Pug Life is a great game and there are some similar games to it out there. I can recommend Dork Unit, which has a similar bonus and also the potential for big payouts. This is another Hacksaw slot I like to play regularly at my favorite top casinos.

Benefits and Drawbacks

Overall Pug Life is a great slot. I love the bonus features and many times you can really win big if the game is in the mood. The cost to buy the features is also affordable. The regular bonus costs only 100x, while the super is only 200x. I just don’t like that the regular symbol payouts are on the low end.

This game is one of my favorites at Hacksaw online casinos for a reason. It comes with two great bonus features, which are also affordable to buy. The gameplay is very interesting and the features are very exciting. Once I trigger the super I am always praying to see a toaster or two early on. Most of the time if they do land that’s a guaranteed big payout. But I also like the regular bonus, as you can get many wilds and even 5 of them on a pay line. This way you have two separate features that can both pay big.
