However, when I play Sweet Bonanza, I always activate the Ante bet at the extra cost of 25% of my bet because by using it, you double your chance of hitting the free spins, and that's where the big wins normally occur.
How to Play Sweet Bonanza
When I first played the game I didn’t really know what was going on. It comes with 6 reels and 5 rows, using the All Symbols Pay design. This means you need to land at least 8 matching symbols on the screen for a win to be formed. I was used to the Cluster Pays slots from before, so this concept was new to me. The bets in Sweet Bonanza range from C$0.20 to $200 per spin, so once you set your bet just hit the Spin button.
You can also activate the Ante Bet option. With this feature, you place an additional quarter of your original bet. This doubles your chances to hit the feature, although I’m not sure if this bet is really worth it. I’ve tried playing the game for 300 spins with the Ante Bet on and didn’t help land a feature. You have a chance to collect several wins from the tumbles and the entire win is then multiplied.

The best part is that you can get several multipliers on the screen in a single spin. Their values are then added together and the win is multiplied by the total multiplier.

Well, the easiest comparison to Sweet Bonanza would be Sweet Bonanza Christmas. These two slots are basically the same, the only difference is in the appearance. But if you like slots like this I would strongly recommend you give Gates of Olympus a try. This slot also has win multipliers in the bonus round and uses the All Symbols Pay and the Tumbles design. You are sure to love what this slot has to offer and you can score some big wins along the way.
Benefits and Drawbacks
The only thing I don’t really like about Sweet Bonanza is it is a ultra high volatility slot machine. The bonus round can be hard to trigger and big wins are not easy to come by. I guess this is to be expected as the game has a very high payout potential. It’s a good thing the designers added the Bonus Buy feature. For a price of 100x the stake, you can buy the feature at any time. If you have the bankroll you can keep on buying the features and one of them can pay big. Otherwise, I don’t really see a chance to hit a mega payout if you spin in the bonus.
