Theme of The Game
The full name of the slot is Baron Bloodmore and the Crimson Castle. The title captures the theme fairly well, as the action revolves around a vampire that’s living in an appropriately spooky castle. It’s mostly something you notice in the castle’s own symbol though. The background image will actually show a charming interior, with large windows that allow for plenty of light to come in, an unusual choice for a vampire-themed slot machine.
Symbols range from the Gothic-style Royals, which are nonetheless quite colorful and cheerful-looking, to a mix of symbols showing images of Ravens, Wolves, Gargoyles, and Baron Bloodmore himself. Several feature symbols were also added in, showing images of a Female Vampire (wild), a Castle scatter, Bonus scatter, and the Mystery symbol.
Developer
Thunderkick looks like one of the developers to follow in the coming years as well. They’ve been doing a great job with their slots for a long time now, and their newer releases continue to be enjoyable, particularly for experienced players. Baron Bloodmore is a good example, but they also have other new slots that are similar, such as Crystal Quest Frostlands, or Big Fin Bay.
How To Play Baron Bloodmore and the Crimson Castle Slot
Once you select the wager for the upcoming spin, which is anywhere between $0.10 and $100, you may start playing.
You’re going to notice a fairly standard game area, where 25 active lines will be present on 5×3 reels. Wins will come when 3-5 matching symbols appear on an active line, in consecutive order, left to right.
Special Features
The Female Vampire, acting as a substitute, is a great example of a common feature, but which can have significant impact in the long run. It keeps acting as a replacement for any regular symbol that may use its help, but the feature symbols can’t do that.
Mystery symbols can trigger at random moments during paid spins, and will add 3×3 symbols on the middle three reels. All positions will transform into a single type of symbol.
Marked with a Bonus logo, the Golden Skull is adorned with golden wings on both sides, so it’s going to be easy to spot when it lands. You need 3, 4 or 5 present, to win 10, 15, or 20 free spins, respectively.
In this new mode, you’re guaranteed to get the Massive Mystery symbols on the middle reels, so there are always matching symbols to be found on all lines. You just need the 1st reel to have those symbols as well, in order to get paid.
Crimson Cash is the other bonus feature available. It requires 3 Castle scatter symbols landing at the same time, scattered, in order to trigger. You’re playing through 3 spins initially, with only Cash Castle symbols and blanks. The triggering symbols are locked. Get additional Cash symbols, and the free spins reset back to 3.
When you get to the end, this feature will get you paid up to 50x the stake for each Cash symbol that you collected.
There will be Patterns of symbols that you can cover with Cash symbols, and if that happens, you will get a Collect feature. It will take the value of all symbols involved, and will double them, then add them to a symbol. It’s a prize boost, which is welcomed.
Spawn and Copy modifiers are also available in this mode, either boosting wins or copying symbols to other positions.
Maximum Payouts
It’s got incredible potential, a slot machine that can pay 25,000x the stake, which is an excellent target for any player to have. RTP is 96.15%, but volatility is high.
Summary
I think you will enjoy this one, though only if you’re OK taking on a high volatility slot. It’s got plenty of features to keep you busy.
