Introduction
For a long time, Play’n Go was one of my favourite online providers. There are still many titles from their portfolio that I keep coming back to even today. Even though I mostly play Pragmatic Play slots nowadays, I always keep an eye out for some new Play’n Go titles. The latest one that caught my attention is Love is in the Fair.
When I first saw the name on an affiliate site I thought it was a typo. But turns out it wasn’t, despite the obvious love theme of the game. The slot comes with great visuals and a very powerful bonus round where you can land 100x win multipliers. This detail instantly caught my attention, along with the 10,000x maximum payout potential. Love is in the Fair is certainly a slot that will easily catch your attention and with some luck on your side, you can easily fall in love with it on the first spin.

The Love is in the Fair slot machine boasts a nice RTP of 96.20%, slightly above the industry average of 96.00%. The game does not offer any bonus buy features or ante bets. I also like that the maximum multiplier is 10,000x your bet, with a max exposure of $1,000,000.00, which creates the potential for some of the bigger wins. Definitely worth playing, but keep in mind it has high volatility, making it riskier to play.
How to Play Love is in the Fair
I would say that the design is Love is in the Fair is pretty classic for Play’n Go slots. You are greeted by the standard 5×3 grid with a total of 10 active paylines. The bets in Love is in the Fair can go as low as $0.10 per spin or as high as $100 per spin. Once you click on the Spin button the reels are set in motion and you can also use the Auto Play option.
A Decade of Playing Slots
Over the years I’ve played tens of thousands of slots, and I’ve come to one conclusion. I love slots where the bonus round includes a wild with a win multiplier. I always love seeing a bunch of wilds on the screen and even more when they are accompanied by juicy wilds. This is why Love is in the Fair is right up my alley and why I fell in love with this slot fairly quickly.
My Own Experience Playing Love is in the Fair
I managed to try this slot a bunch of times despite the fact that it’s a new game. I just couldn’t resist the temptation of hitting a great bonus round and ending up with a big payout. I can’t say that this was the result of my sessions, as my top payout so far is just shy of 800x the stake. This is a decent payout, but I’m waiting for those mega wins of several thousand times the stake to light up my screen. I know they are more than possible to land and I’m sure I will see one of them on my screen in the near future. Who knows, maybe the next session on Love is in the Fair will be the one where I fall head over heels in this game, as well as with the huge chunk of bankroll on the screen.
Bonus Features and Payouts
The Wild in Love is in the Fair lands in the form of a camera. It replaces all other symbols from the paytable, except for the Romantic Pic scatter. The Wild can land on any of the reels and brings the highest wins on the reels. If you land 5 wilds on a payline with an x2 win multiplier you get 100x. But if you land 5 of them with a x100 multiplier you are awarded a whopping 5,000x. This is the type of payout every gambler wants to see on his screen.
During base play the Wild can land with a win multiplier attached on any given spin. The win multipliers can be x2, x3, x5, x10 and x100. This is why Love is in the Fair can produce some massive payouts even during base play.
Free Spins Bonus
If 3 or more Romantic Pics scatters land anywhere on the screen you trigger the free spins bonus. You are initially awarded 3 free spins where the win multiplier starts at x2. But if you trigger the bonus with 6, 9, 12 or 15 scatters, you get 6, 9, 12 and 15 free spins. At the same time the starting win multiplier is higher, set at x3, x5, x10 and x100.
The initial free spins and win multiplier may seem low at first sight. But the Romantic Pics can land stacked across the reels. Every time 3 of them are collected you get 3 extra free spins and the win multiplier is increased to the next level. So all you need is to keep on landing those scattered trios and you can get to the top win multiplier level, which is x100.
Play’n Go already has other slots with a similar bonus round on offer. If you’ve ever played any of them you already know that they are capable of producing big wins. You just need to be patient and stubborn enough to land that one bonus round where the end payout will be massive.
Comparison with Other slots
I think one of the earliest slots I’ve seen a similar feature on was 300 by NextGen Gaming. I loved that game and I had some insane wins. From the Play’n Go portfolio, I would recommend Return of the Green Knight. The bonus round is quite similar, where the wilds start with an x2 win multiplier, which can eventually rise all the way up to x100.
Benefits and Drawbacks
The most obvious benefit in Love is in the Fair is the x100 win multiplier attached to the Wild. This is where the biggest wins in the game can come from and you just need one lucky spin to walk away with a big win. You will need a lot of luck to land the 5,000x payout with 5 of the x100 wilds on a pay line and even more luck to do that twice. But what I would really love to see in this game is a bonus buy button. The way it is the bonus round seems a bit hard to trigger. This is simply due to the high volatility of the slot and I’m sure many players would just go ahead and buy it if it were available.
Our Conclusion
Play’n Go has a very rich offer of casino games and they are doing a great job with their latest additions. I can’t really say that Love is in the Fair is an original slot, as the design and bonus round has been used in many other slots. But I’m glad that Play’n Go decided to go with a clone game. Now I have another slot to try and land my favourite bonus round and hopefully hit a big payout. I would warmly recommend Love is in the Fair to all online players. You can give it a try for free in demo mode here on our site and after that, you can play it for real at any of these top ranked Canadian casinos.
