Millionaire Rush
Theme of The Game
Millionaire Rush is a branded slot machine, and previous games of the series used the Who Wants To Be a Millionaire logo, just as this one does. The Rush part is new, but the gemstones that we’re seeing on those reels are far from original. We’ve seen them included in many other slot machines that Big Time Gaming released over the last couple of years.
The game area starts at 5×5 reels and the symbols chosen for it include the W logo, along with gemstones colored in purple, red, teal, blue, green, orange, or yellow. They might look shiny and a bit of work has gone into making them attractive, but they show a lack of imagination on the part of the development team (or a focus on gameplay, rather than pretty graphics that would detract from the experience, who can tell why they’re going this route).
Developer
Big Time Gaming became famous with the Megaways engine, which they licensed to enough developers that right now we’re seeing hundreds of these slot machines, with all sorts of themes and additional mechanics thrown in. They’ve kept adding new features themselves, so in this case we’re looking at Megaclusters.
How To Play It
You can start playing this slot machine after placing a bet of $0.20 to $20, which should be enough since the volatility is high.
The game area starts with 5×5 reels, on which you will be able to form clusters of symbols if there are at least 5 of them grouped up. The best results are possible when you get at least 25 symbols of the same type.
Special Features
Wild symbols are marked with the W logo, so they’re easy to spot among all the gemstones that are present elsewhere.
A Megaclusters engine is used, so it’s interesting what happens after you’ve formed the initial cluster of symbols. The winning symbols are replaced immediately, and you get 4 small symbols taking the place of each one that was removed. If you can get new combinations to form at this point, you will get the symbols replaced once again with new ones. New wins can keep forming for a long time, there is no limit to the number of drops.
Another interesting part is the Megatrail, which is present on the left side. It has 12 rungs in total, where some of them are fixed (prize of 1,000x the stake at the top rung, and 6 free spins at the 7th rung). Other bonuses can appear on the other rungs, 3+ appearing there each time.
Among the extra features that could show up on those Megatrail rungs, you could get random wilds, multiplier wilds, symbols turned into extra wilds, 2×2 mega wilds, symbol splitting or upgrades, win multipliers, or the max number of symbols for all positions. There is also symbol duplication, explosions, or symbol removals.
If you reach the 7th rung by triggering enough drops, then you get 6 free spins with an even better Megatrail (prizes up to 2,000x available, along with 6+ random bonuses).
Maximum Payouts
All in all, I’d say that Millionaire Rush has plenty to get us interested in it. A top jackpot of 55,260x the stake is on the line inside, and that’s quite a bit better than what a lot of other BTG slots have offered in the past.
Also worth mentioning, is the 96.44% RTP along with the high volatility.
Summary
Overall, I feel like Millionaire Rush is going to be an enjoyable slot machine for the players that love the Megaways engine. It offers similar potential, if not better, but the action is different.
