Bonus Features and Payouts

Once a win lands on the reels a cascade is formed with the winning symbols removed from the screen. New symbols will fall on top and cover the empty positions. The top extra row is called the Top Tracker and once a win is formed with the symbols from that row they will be removed and new ones will come from the right side.

On any spin you can also land Blockers. They come in the form of crates and block a position. If a win lands next to a crate it’s destroyed and the position is available for the following cascade.

On the Top Tracker, you can land the Bounty Hunter symbol. This is a Wild symbol that has a persistent function. It will contribute to payouts and stay on the screen for the duration of the spin. This means he can contribute to several cascades in a row and help create winning combinations. If the Bounty Hunter makes a winning combination with one of the Outlaw symbols, that symbol will also become a Wild.

These wilds act as classic wilds and can land anywhere on the screen. But they are not persistent wilds. Once they contribute to a win they are removed from the screen for the following cascade.

Free Spins Bonus

There are 2 features that you can trigger in Bounty Hunter Unchained, depending on the number of scatters on the screen. Landing 3 or 4 scatters will award you 6 and 8 Hunter Free Spins. Landing 5 or 6 scatters will bring you 10 and 12 Unchained Free Spins.

In the Bounty Hunter free spins, any win on the screen will increase the win multiplier by 1. Every extra bonus symbol that lands during the feature will bring 1 or 2 extra free spins. All Wanted Wild symbols that are formed during the feature are removed between spins.

In the Unchained Free Spins, the same rules apply. The multiplier increases by 1 on each win, but now the Wanted Wilds will remain active for the duration of the feature. So with some luck, you can unlock a couple or even all 5 wanted Wilds, with their own multipliers ranging from x2 all the way up to x10.

Comparison with Other slots

For me, it’s great that there are two features and that you can trigger them both in base play. But you can unlock up to 5 extra wilds in the bonus, each with an extra multiplier, so the payouts can be quite high.
