Dawn of Kings is still a relatively new slot, but I already managed to put it to the test. Base play wins were not too high, which is to be expected unless you hit 5 of a kind with the higher-paying symbols. But I very much like the multiple options for the bonus round. This makes the game more exciting and gives you more options if you opt-in for the bonus buys.

But I can’t say I’ve had some massive wins in the game so far. My top one at the moment is just shy of 700x the stake. But I had lots of smaller ones, which is what I want to see. The smaller payouts keep your balance in check most of the time, allowing you to recuperate your losses. This gives you the bankroll to keep chasing the big payout and it’s sure to come in one lucky feature.

Bonus Features

The Book is the main symbol in the game. It acts as both the Wild and Scatter symbol at the same time, replacing all other symbols in the paytable. The book also has a very high maximum payout of 1,000x if 5 of them land on the screen.

Free Spins Bonus

With 3 books on the screen, you trigger the Book of Dawn bonus. If you land 4 of them you enter the Triple Book of Dawn Bonus. With 5 Wilds the Triple Book of Dawn feature is triggered, along with the 1,000x cash prize.

Benefits and Drawbacks

As I already mentioned for me the biggest benefit of the game is the bonus round and the chance to hit a full screen of matching symbols. But I also like the fact here that landing 5 scatters awards you a 1,000x payout. On pretty much all other book slots this payout is only 200x. But in Dawn of Kings, the payouts for 2 high paying symbols are missing. This can have a negative impact on your balance in the long run.

Dawn of Kings will surely catch the attention of many Hacksaw fans. It’s pretty much a classic book slot with all the features and perks these types of slots have to offer. But the designers did great work with the game, adding additional bonus features. They make the game even more exciting and fun to play.
