Casino Nova Scotia Sydney is a humble casino located in the small community of Sydney in the province of Nova Scotia. It is the only casino within 4 hours drive from Sydney and is part of the Casino Nova Scotia chain, which consists of two casinos. The casino is owned by the GC Gaming Group which owns numerous successful casinos throughout Canada.
The gaming floor is rather small, at 14,950 square foot but still includes a wide range of slot and table games, including a poker room where no-limit gaming takes place on weekends. The casino is open during the week from 11 am until 3 am and on weekends 24 hours a day.
For those looking to take a break from the gaming, you can visit the casino’s restaurant which has daily buffets and specials as well as an a la carte menu available.
Sydney Casino Games
Casino Nova Scotia is one of two casinos in the province and is more than half the size of the other casino located in Halifax. Despite only having a total gaming space of 14,950 square foot, the casino provides plenty of electronic and table gaming options, including a separate poker room where you can participate in no-limit games every Friday and Saturday. If you are a casino member you will be able to earn points while playing on the various games.
Casino Gaming Options:

Accommodation & Transportation
Casino Nova Scotia Sydney is only a casino, with no rooms available. The community of Sydney might not have many accommodation options, but you can still find a few affordable 3-star hotels like the Hampton Inn by Hilton Sydney, the Cambridge Suites Hotel, and the Holiday Inn – Sydney Waterfront. All three of these hotels have free wi-fi, and both the Hampton and Cambridge hotels also provide complimentary breakfast.
Sydney is no longer classified as a city, currently a ‘community’, due to its dwindling population. Although it isn’t as popular as many other Canadian tourist destinations, there are still various things you can do if you find yourself here. The Big Fiddle – the world’s largest fiddle, the Membertou Heritage Park, Cossit House Museum, Petersfield Provincial Park, and the Wentworth Municipal Park are a few of the most popular attractions in Sydney.
You won’t be able to find any other casinos in Sydney, Nova Scotia. This harbour town is only home to the Casino Nova Scotia Sydney. The entire province of Nova Scotia only has two casinos, with the other one, Casino Nova Scotia Halifax, located just over 4 hours away in the city of Halifax. Both of these casinos are part of the GC Gaming group and you can use your membership card at both branches.
