Review of Shorelines Casinos Ontario
Shorelines Casinos is perhaps the most popular name when it comes to casinos in Ontario. If you’ve been to Ontario before, then you must have seen at least one of the Shorelines establishments. There are currently four branches in the area – Belleville, Peterborough, Kawartha Downs, and Thousand Islands – all of which are fully equipped with exciting table games and slots. As their tagline says, Shorelines is where Ontario comes to play.
Casino Gaming Options:
All four locations of the Shorelines Casinos feature hundreds of slot machines that include classic and new games. There are plenty of table games to choose from too.
Shorelines Casinos Belleville has more than 480 slot machines on the gaming floor and has already distributed close to $9 million in jackpot wins this year alone. Over $8 million in jackpot prizes were given away to players in Peterborough scattered over their 500 slot machines. Slot machine enthusiasts had plenty to celebrate about in Thousand Islands after it has given more than $12 million in jackpot prizes this year with their 480+ slot machines. Kawartha Downs is the smaller casino with 150 slot machines but the prizes still go big with close to half a million given away this year.
Table games are similar for each location with the usual favourites such as Blackjack, Roulette, Baccarat, Ultimate Texas Hold’Em, and more. Take note of the different table game schedules for each branch:
- Belleville: 11:00am to 4:00am
- Peterborough: 12:00pm to 4:00pm
- Thousand Islands: Open 24 hours, Weekly Poker Tournaments are held every Thursday at 11:00 am
- There are no gaming tables at Kawartha Downs. This Shorelines Casino branch is open every day, 10:00am to 12 midnight
Food & Beverages
There are lounges and bars in all of the Shorelines Casinos branches. Whenever you get hungry on the gaming table or after playing with a few slot games, then you can head on down to their fabulous restaurants. Belleville, Peterborough, and Thousand Islands have the Windward Restaurant, which offers a variety of delicious snacks and meals. Since this is a fully licensed bar, you can have some drinks too! Make sure to check out their specials schedule that ranges from wings to ribs to burgers and more.
Belleville and Peterborough also have The Buffet Option that serves brunch, dinner, and Friday/Saturday dinner. At a great price, you can eat to your heart’s content and indulge in chef specialties that include ribs, lobsters, steaks, barbecue, and roast beef, among others.
Kawartha Downs has the Player’s Lounge and Cafe, also a fully licensed bar, that serves great drinks and meals. Dinner specialties change daily and are served at 4 to 9 PM, from Monday to Sunday. You can enjoy the Breakfast Special from 10 AM to 12 PM every day.

Accommodation & Transportation
Accommodations are not available at the Shorelines Casinos. However, there are public transportation options as well as parking areas for casino guests.
Ontario is situated in Canada’s East Central close to the US border. Many tourists from the United States and beyond would flock to Ontario on a yearly basis to see some of the most beautiful attractions available in the area. On top of the list would be the Niagara Falls, which is famous all around the world.
There are also plenty of national parks and museums in the area with the Algonquin Provincial Park in Southern Ontario being the most popular for locals and tourists alike. The Royal Ontario Museum is the perfect cross between ancient and modern. Its original structure still remains visible, which gives out an old charm vibe and a unique and modern expansion built in 2007 gives it a more futuristic appeal.
A Shorelines Casinos Experience
Now a popular name in all of Ontario, Shorelines Casinos lets you in on a chance to play in just about every corner of the region. Sure, there are limited dining options and they don’t have accommodations either unlike other larger casinos in the area, but Shorelines Casinos boasts of its hometown charm, which still makes it a favourite gaming destination for locals and tourists alike.
